Important notice: Your profile is PUBLIC and can be seen by other users. User data may be lawfully shared with third-party companies for commercial and advertising purposes.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Nugoi:

Information you provide:

  • Name, age, gender, sexual orientation
  • Email, phone (if provided)
  • Profile photos and videos
  • Profile information (bio, interests, preferences)
  • Messages and content you share

Information collected automatically:

  • Geographic location (GPS)
  • Device information (model, operating system)
  • IP address and connection data
  • App usage data (clicks, time of use, features accessed)
  • Cookies and similar technologies

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Connect you with other users (matches)
  • Personalize your experience and recommendations
  • Send notifications about matches, messages and updates
  • Process payments and subscriptions
  • Prevent fraud and ensure safety
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Carry out analyses and research
  • Display personalized ads

3. Sharing of Information

Your profile is PUBLIC and visible to other Nugoi users. In addition, we may share your information with:

Third-party companies (business partners):

  • Advertising networks for personalized ads
  • Data analysis and marketing companies
  • Business partners offering related products/services
  • Social media platforms (if you connect your accounts)

Service providers:

  • Hosting and cloud storage providers
  • Payment processors
  • Customer service providers
  • Analysis and monitoring tools

Legal authorities:

  • When required by law or court order
  • To protect rights, property or safety
  • In criminal investigations

4. Your Rights and Controls

You have the following rights over your data:

  • Access: View the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update incorrect information
  • Deletion: Request complete removal of your data
  • Portability: Receive a copy of your data
  • Objection: Object to the processing of your data
  • Restriction: Limit how we use your data

You can exercise these rights directly in the app: Deletion in Settings > Delete account (immediate and irreversible); Portability with the "Export my data" option; and telemetry/marketing preferences in the Privacy Center. You can also contact our Data Protection Officer (section 11).

5. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the services. After the account is deleted:

  • When you delete the account, your identifying data is erased immediately and the services that keep copies (messages, photos, telemetry, notifications) are instructed to delete them automatically
  • Minimal information may be retained for legal obligations (e.g. tax), in anonymized form
  • Anonymized data may be kept for aggregate analyses
  • Backups may contain data for up to 90 days

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Strict access controls
  • Continuous security monitoring
  • Regular security audits

However, no system is 100% secure. You are also responsible for protecting your access credentials.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We separate what is essential from what is optional:

  • Essential (always on): keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences — required for the service to work
  • Telemetry/analytics (optional): we only collect usage events if you consent; without consent, events attributed to you are discarded on our servers
  • Marketing (optional): promotional communications and personalization only with your explicit consent

You can change these choices at any time in the Privacy Center; withdrawal takes effect immediately and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Your consent (and each change) is recorded with date, document version, IP and device, as required by law.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Brazil, including the United States and the European Union. We ensure appropriate safeguards as required by the LGPD.

9. Minors

Nugoi is intended only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that a minor has created an account, it will be deleted immediately.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly.
